Approve Payments

Reviewing & Releasing Payments in Bank Connect

Depending on your company's entitlements set up, some or all of your payments may require approval. Payments can be routed to specific approvers based on account, payment type, amount, or a combination of these dimensions. (See the Entitlements guide for more information.)

Navigate to the Dashboard

Navigate to the Bank Connect Dashboard using the SSO Link set up by your Admin. This can be added to your Shortcuts (accessible from the main menu) for easy access. If not in your Shortcuts, you can also find this link by using the Workday search bar, navigate to the saml: bank connect link. The dashboard will open in a new tab.

Approving Payments

The dashboard shows any/all payments pending your approval. These may include payments from different accounts, different payment types, different payees, etc.

Other users may see a different set of payments as their entitlements and approval workflow may vary.

  1. Review the payments, then select Approve or Reject for each payment. 

    • If you reject a payment, you must enter a rejection reason.
    • You may also leave the selection empty or Ignore the payment if you're not ready to make a decision.
  2. After reviewing and selecting an action, click Save.

  3. Your identity will be verified via Step-Up Authentication

    • Your authentication method may vary depending on your company's set up.(See the User Authentication guide for more information.

Releasing Payments

Upon final approval, payments are released and delivered to your bank for processing.
